Travel Offer: Summit of Mt. Kazbek

Description: We meet and greet you at the Tbilisi Airport, from where we transfer by private car to Stephantsminda. Along the way we stop by the old town of Mkheta and the Ananuri church. We stay at a guesthouse for the night. Next day we drive to the village of Juta (2.200 m), where we hike to the Fifth Season Hut (2.356 m) for lunch. We return later to Stephantsminda.

On day 3, we drive / hike up to the Gergeti Trinity Church (2.200 m) and continue a long ascent to the Bethlemi hut (3.650 m) over the glacier. The next day is an  acclimatization and rest day.  We walk up to 4.000 m and practice skills necessary to climb to the summit (rope work, ice axe atc). For the night we stay at the Bethlemi hut.

Day 5 is summit day – we start early in the morning about 2-3 o‘clock and return to the hut after 11 – 12 hours. Day 6 is a reserver day in case of bad weather.

On day 7, we descend to the Trinity Church (4-5 hours walking), from where we transfer to Tbilisi. There we visit the bathhouses and transfer you to the airport, either the same day or the next.

Travel Offer: Aquilpo/Ishinca trek with ascent of Ishinca

Description: Our journey starts and ends in Lima. A private transfer brings you from the airport to the hotel in Lima and next morning to the Bus terminal. From there, you board a First class coach for your travel to Huaraz, where we will meet you and bring you to your hotel. For the next day, we plan an acclimatisation trip to the the turquoise waters of the lagoon Churup (4500 meters); in the afternoon we return to Huaraz.

On day 3, we start to the small mountain village of Joncopampa where we will load donkeys with equipment and supplies. The walk begins at the head of a valley near a small Inca ruin, and next day, we continue in to the valley to the spectacular Lake Alquilpo located at the foot of the steep mountain Alquilpo. The camp lies near the water’s edge at 4400 meter . On day 5, we cross the edge of Tocllaarju and Urus. We have our first view of the mountain Ishinca and the chance to practice rappelling at our camp in Ishinca, and where you will have climbing gear and extra food for mounting the summit. The next day is a rest preparation day for day 7, the summit of Ishinca. We will return from the peak around 2pm for a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep. Next day, we pack up camp
descend to the valley in Huaraz, getting back in the afternoon. Register at the hotel for a well-deserved shower celebration and feast. On the last day, we take the bus back to Lima.

Description: This expedition is designed as a ten days training course culminating with a summit climb on Mt. Friendship. Not only do you train in one of the most ideal locations for snow, glacier and ice climbing, but you also attempt the summit of the Peak. Our guides give you in-depth and comprehensive instruction and allow you to progress at your own rate. On summit day we have a 4 :1 climber-to-guide ratio. Some of the topic covered: climbing equipment, route finding and navigation, glacier travel, climbing protection, crevasse rescue, and steep snow and ice climbing (if conditions permit). This is truly a one-of-a-kind course.

About the Peak: Mt.Friendship lies in the Beas Kund region, an alpine area near Manali where Lower Himalayan Ranges of Dhauladhar and Pin Panjal meet. Friendship peak is one of the finest in the Kullu Valley. The South face is concealed by Friendship’s Gigantic Rock face until you are directly beneath it. The setting and ambience is superb with rock and ice falls across the Valley providing endless entertainment. Friendship Peaks impressive South face is another 1km up the Solang Valley and offers the true routes to the summit.

From there, you board a First class coach for your travel to Huaraz, where we will meet you and bring you to your hotel. For the next day, we plan an acclimatisation trip to the the turquoise waters of the lagoon Cheurup (4500 meters), where we spend our first night in higher altitude.

On day 3, the hike goes through the beautiful valley of Quilcayhuanca at the base of one of the most impressive peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, including the ice encrusted Cayesh tower. It is a long day with around 8 hours of hiking. The following day we use to further acclimatize our bodies and climb a further up to spend the night at the Cayash camp.

Day 5 is summit day for Maparaju, a climb witth crampons as we reach a glacier pleateau. We descend a bit for the night, then continue next day through the gorge with exciting views and maybe the chance to see the Andean condor. Next morning, we descend further. It is an easy day. On day 8, we walk to the pass that leads to Huapi to make our way to a summit with magnificent views of the Chichey mountain. Trekkers will be traveling through a pass between two deep glacial valleys with stunning 360 degree views.

Day 9 comes with a trek through Cojup Valley. Today, we will marvel at the power of nature, as we see the landslide of 1941, which caused a devastating flood that destroyed half of Huaraz. We will later camp on the shores of Perolcocha Lagoon below the eastern face Ranrapalca. The following day, we follow up with a technically easy ascent of Ishinca, with a beautiful view. We return to camp and spend another night there, before returning the next day to Huaraz to finalize our big trek. Day 12 is supposed to be a reserve day, and the next day  the bus for Lima awaits.

On day 3 the trip along Santa Cruz creek starts – with meeting with our porters and donkeys. We trek for five hours to reach our camp and spending our first night in the lagoon area called Ichiccocha. The next days follow the creek – at the foot of Alpamayo and Artesonraju and continue to reach our first major pass called Punta Union (4750 meters). On the other side we start the descent, spending one night along the way before reaching base camp. On the seventh day, we start the ascent to Pisco moraine camp (4900 meters), and on the next day, we try to reach the summit with fantastic views. We return to Base camp and next day to Huaraz, where we will enjoy a little celebration of our ascent and trek. On the last day, we take the bus back to Lima.
